Vanishing Point 31 July 2012

Having done a Saturday night show (again late at night) I'm feeling rather sleepy as I put together the back end of tonight's edition of Vanishing Point.  I note that Jon Rose did a public lecture titled Violins to Fences on Friday 27 July at the State Library in Melbourne, which inspired me to pull out Decomposition from the 3D Radio library and give it a whirl.

Vanishing Point 24 July 2012

Last weekend (20 July) I was on my way to Sydney to see Keith Fullarton Whitman and a bunch of Australian experimental acts at the Embassy.  My flight was due into Sydney at 8pm giving me enough time to get to the gig (easily).  As my plane left Adelaide I had that horrible sinking feeling as I realized I'd left my keys to the house in Sydney at home.  After travelling to a reltive's house to pick up a spare set and having a chat (as you do) I noticed it was 10.30pm and an hour travel to a gig that was going to finish at midnight.  Shit! I'd missed the gig..... so I had a couple of guiness and watched rugby hilights.......

Vanishing Point 17 July 2012

It was so bloody good to pass the mid winter point last week.  I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Hydromedusa at Enigma on the weekend, easily my fav band in Adelaide at the moment.  Local legends Spacebong and Leather Messiah were on the bill along with Adrift For Days from Sydney.  A great night.

I revisited the epic 'Breathe' a Psychic TV track (69minutes) during the week and couldn't resist airing it tonight.
